Religion

We pride ourselves on liberty, both in government and in religion, which allows us to think and choose.  However, liberty, which allows us to choose, requires knowledge and thinking.  Meaning we cannot just be sheeple.

Problem Solving leads to True Faith --

Children who think will eventually discover their faith, meaning they will have religious civil liberty.  Our society needs to promote our children to think as
is exemplified by an article from the Marietta Daily Journal that presents on its first page the article "Problem Solving", written by staff writer Kimberly Starks, on March 17, 2006, which says in part:

"MARIETTA - When it comes to solving math problems, students at Simpson and Hightower Trail middle schools gladly accept the challenge. ... They've trained year-round on algebra, geometry and logic to prepare for competition against 500 middle school students from across Georgia."

It is these types of articles that encourage children to logically think and encourage parents to promote their children to logically think!  Children who Logically think will ask questions and will dispute certain beliefs including religious beliefs.  But the religious, fear not, their inner sole is breathing.

Law Changes--

The interchanging of religious groups with government and public policy is a starting trend which may prove to be disastrous for both religion and government.  Religion plays an important role in our community and I don't want to see it tarnished with the stains of politics, and vice versa.

I want to untangle religion from the state, removing rules for or against religion.  This does not mean religious organizations do not receive government money, but the rules would be the same as it would be for any organization.

Religion as Fair Capitalism --

The process of providing fairness to religions starts not by removing religion from laws, but defining classifications of organizations for which religions can be members.  One such category would be family value organizations.  This would allow so called non-religious organizations to be members also.  In actuality, members of non-religious organizations may be more religious than those of religious organizations.  This is because some religious organizations provide indirect political and financial benefits, attracting members seeking financial gain.

Golf Courses are Family Value Organizations --

One such type non-religious organization that would benefit from such law changes would be golf courses which also have family values.  Besides providing a center of family values for its members, it preserves green space for our society and provides a nice place for exercise.  As an example of inequality, in Cobb County Georgia, a local golf course succumbed to housing development, yet religious organizations continue to build grand churches on the backs of the public through tax loopholes.
